Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Director Anthony A. Caputo of the New Brunswick Police Department said today that Crime Stoppers of Middlesex County Inc. is offering a reward to anyone who anonymously provides information leading to the apprehension of a driver who fled after striking and injuring a teenage girl and killing her dog in Cranbury two weeks ago.
The driver last was seen fleeing in a beige or champagne-color Ford Expedition with silver trim after hitting the 13-year-old girl, and the dog.
The incident occurred on May 10 at 6:18 p.m. at South Main Street and Evans Drive in Cranbury.
Prosecutor Carey and Police Director Caputo, who also chairs the Crime Stoppers Board of Directors, said cash rewards are being offered to anyone who wants to provide information anonymously, by contacting Crime Stoppers of Middlesex County Inc. via phone or website.
The phone number is: 1-800-939-9600. The website is: middlesextips.com. Text messages may be sent to 274637 (CRIMES) with the keyword ‘’midtip’’ followed by a message.
Those who call will be given instructions on how to collect cash rewards by using a numerical code that will be recognized by a local bank, which will pay the rewards following approval by Crime Stoppers of Middlesex County Inc.
