Police in Newark are seeking the public's help in identifying three male suspects who they said are connected to a business robbery that occurred on Thursday afternoon.
According to Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose, at approximately 12:40 p.m., his officers responded to **La Mina De Oro Grocery, located at 51 Oriental Street**, on a robbery call.
Director Ambrose said three armed male suspects entered the store and took money from the cash register.
All of the suspects are black males with the first described as between 18-21 years old, approximately 160 lbs. and 5’6” to 5’8” tall. Authorities said he was wearing a brown short sleeve shirt with a Marilyn Monroe print on the front and dark colored pants.
Director Ambrose said the second suspect is also between the age of 18-21-years-old and weighs about 160 lbs. and 5’6’ tall.
The suspect was wearing a white tank top shirt, blue jeans, and has dreadlocks Director Ambrose said.
According to authorities, described the third suspect as 24-28-years-old, 6’ tall, with a light-brown complexion.
Police said the suspect was wearing a blue short-sleeve shirt with “Nike” on the front, dark jeans, white sneakers and a Doo-Rag.
Director Ambrose said the suspect also has a tattoo on his right elbow.
This investigation and search for these suspects are active and ongoing Director Ambrose said.
