Authorities in Newark are reporting the arrest of **Mr. Lamar Norman, 34, of Roselle Park,** for possession of a loaded firearm and CDS that occurred Thursday morning.
According to police officials, at approximately 12:50 a.m., detectives observed a vehicle driving erratically and speeding in the area of Clinton Avenue and Wright Street.
Authorities said, police conducted a motor vehicle stop and observed a bottle in the car, which was found to contain, CDS, Promethazine prompting officers to arrest the driver, Lamar Norman.
Police also found a loaded .40 caliber handgun in Norma's possession authorities said.
Authorities charged Norman with unlawful possession of a weapon, certain persons prohibited from weapons possession and CDS possession.
These charges are merely accusations.
The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
