A man was killed this evening after a tree fell on top of him during a backyard barbecue in Passaic.
The incident happened at around 5 p.m. at 375 Paulison Avenue when lightning struck a street causing it to fall, striking and killing the man.
There were several other people injured.
There is an active investigation underway.
