Newark Police Assist in Search for Man, Children Missing after Supervised Visit

**UPDATE 9:50am children found safe**

Police in Newark are assisting Human Services Police in searching for two children, **Sammy Tene, 5, and China Tene, 4,** who they say are both missing following a supervised visit with their father, **Moso B. Tene, 30.**

According to Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose, at approximately 7:30 p.m., police received a report of the missing children during Mr. Tene’s supervised visit at the Wilentz Justice Complex, New Jersey Family Court Building, located at 212 Washington Street.

Police said Mr. Tene, who is homeless and has a history of drug addiction, left the visit with the children at around 4 p.m.

A supervising worker from the State of New Jersey CP&P reportedly left the room during the visit, when the employee returned, the father and children were gone.

Police said when last seen, Mr. Tene was wearing a white T-shirt, white sneakers, and dark jeans.

Tene is clean-shaven and currently has bleach blonde hair police said.

Sammy, a boy, wore a black short-sleeved shirt featuring a Star Wars logo, dark jeans, and light-up Spider-Man sneakers.

China, a girl, wore a purple and pink hooded jacket, purple, and pink tights with black hearts on them.

Police said China has two front teeth missing and has short black hair.

All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
