There is a large police presence in the area of Sylvan and Summer Avenue as authorities are investigating a shooting that involved a police officer at this time.
The incident reportedly originated as a foot pursuit for a suspect wanted for possession of a weapon who allegedly committed an armed robbery in the area.
The suspect is suffering a gunshot injury to the shoulder according to reports.
There is an injured police sergeant who has a leg injury.
The officer was not struck by gunfire.
All injuries appear to be non-life-threatening at this time.

UPDATE 9:55 p.m. A second police officer is suffering an arm injury. This is not a gunshot injury.
UPDATE 10:01 p.m. The incident reportedly originated from a commercial burglary that occurred in the 100 block of Sylvan Avenue.
