Linden firefighters battled a fast-moving fire that ignited inside a basement in Linden early this morning.
Fire broke out at 721 Jackson Avenue at around 1:44 a.m. sending firefighters to the scene where they focused their attention on the basement of a two-story home where they observed smoke upon their arrival.
The fire was swiftly knocked down with no trapped or injured occupants.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
