A vehicle reportedly taken from a gas station in Newark has police investigating.
We are informing the community that the incident was reported at around 3:45 a.m. in the 1400 block of McCarter Highway sending police to the scene to take a report.
The vehicle taken is a black 2011 Toyota Rav 4 with reported New Jersey license plate numbers "P11-CKW".
According to preliminary reports, a black male suspect "jumped into" the victim's vehicle then sped away northbound towards Belleville.
There were no reports of weapons used or physical injuries.
