A late night fire that ignited inside a house in Jersey City is under investigation.
Firefighters were called to the 30's block of Gray Street shortly before 11:45 p.m. for a house fire at that location.
Upon their arrival, crews observed heavy fire coming from the rear of 34 Gray Street.
Fire began to extend from the first floor to the second floor of the two-story house with thick smoke throughout.
Crews were able to make entry into the home where a search for injured or trapped occupants came back negative.
There are reports of minor injuries to two police officers and firefighter.
The fire was brought under control at around 2 a.m. with the cause under investigation by Jersey City fire officials.
