An attempted armed robbery of a man who was delivering Chinese food in Orange is under investigation.
The incident happened in the 200 block of Cleveland Street shortly before 11:30 p.m. where police were called to the scene to take a report of an attempted robbery.
According to preliminary reports, the victim was approached by as many as three male suspects who were armed with a gun and demanded cash.
The victim reportedly managed to run from the suspects and back to the safety of his vehicle where he drove away from the scene.
While driving away, the victim thought he heard what sounded like a gunshot fire but no evidence of shooting was evident.
Police are investigating the incident.
