A shooting that left a man injured in Newark this afternoon has police investigating.
The victim was driven to University Hospital by a private vehicle shortly before 2:30 p.m. after gunfire rang out on South 11th Street near 13th Avenue.
Police set up a crime scene in the residential neighborhood where they searched for evidence to determine is a shooting had occurred.
The extent of the victim's injuries were not reported as life threatening.
Police are investigating the motive for the shooting.
