There were non-fatal injuries reported for an early morning crash on Rt. 22 in Springfield.
Emergency responders rushed to the eastbound lanes of the highway near the Autoland Dealership shortly before 7:50 am after receiving reports of a crash with injuries.
According to Springfield authorities, rescue crews found a severely damaged car with one occupant inside.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the driver somehow lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a utility pole causing it to come down onto the highway.
All lanes were detoured for about an hour while DOT crews removed the pole.
Authorities said the victim was transported to an area hospital suffering non-fatal injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
