A reported armed carjacking that occurred in the Newark's South Ward has authorities investigating.
Police are looking for a black Jeep Grand Cherokee with a reported NJ license plate number "F93-HSR" carjacked in the 50's block of Chadwick Avenue sometime at around 12:30 a.m.
According to the victim, several black male suspects approached armed with what appeared to be a "long gun" and demanded the vehicle.
The suspects sped away from the scene towards Avon Avenue.
There were no physical injuries reported.
