Firefighters battled a three-alarm fire that ignited inside a house in the city overnight.
Heavy fire broke out at 195 Chapman Street shortly before midnight then extended to 197 sending firefighters to the scene where the intensity of the blaze had firefighters order a second alarm upon arrival.
Crews began a defensive operation where they surrounded and drowned the fire.
A search of both structures came up negative for trapped or injured occupants.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
There were several displaced residents.
