Police in Jersey City are investigating a shooting that occurred in the city this evening.
Reports of shots fired sent police to the area of Bergen and Bidwell Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. where officers located the victim suffering a gunshot wound to the back.
EMS rushed the victim to Jersey City Medical Center in stable condition.
The victim is a 16-year-old male who resides in Jersey City according to reports.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
