A shooting that sent a man to the hospital late last night in Beverly has police on the search for a suspect.
The shooting happened in the area of Laurel and 3rd Street shortly before 11:30 a.m. sending police to the scene where officers found the victim shot at that location.
The victim was rushed by EMS to an area hospital where the extent of his injury was reported as severe.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
This is the second shooting that occurred in the area that caused injuries in about a week.
Authorities believe the incident is drug-related.
There were no arrests reported.
