An overnight fatal shooting in Trenton is under investigation.
Police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the 200 block of Cleveland Avenue shortly before 9 a.m. where officers arriving at the scene found an unconscious and unresponsive male victim laying on the ground in an alleyway at that location.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene according to authorities.
A crime scene was established where detectives from the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office searched the area for evidence.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
There were no arrests made.
