A Newark man was arrested following a high-speed chase through multiple towns, police announced.
According to police, Saturday at approximately 2:09 a.m., police attempted to stop the 2015 Chevy - driven by Courtney D. Baker, 30, of Newark - for an equipment violation and a registration check.
However, Baker refused to stop and instead began driving at a high rate of speed through Roselle Park, Roselle, and Elizabeth.
The chase came to an end on Linden Avenue after the vehicle came to rest in a large pile of snow.
Baker was arrested and charged with eluding police while in a motor vehicle and driving while intoxicated.
He was processed and released on a summons.
