Suspects Wanted for Stealing Laundry from Dryer Sought by Newark Police

Police in Newark is seeks the public’s help identifying two suspects wanted for theft that occurred on last Friday, (March 10th)

According to Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose, at approximately 1:45 p.m., two suspects entered the laundromat at 176 12th Avenue where they purchased bags from a cashier then removed customers’ clothing from dryers and left the establishment in a large silver or tan-colored SUV, possibly a Tahoe.

The first suspect is described as a black female who was last seen wearing a blue jacket and pink shirt Director Ambrose said.

Police described the remaining suspect as a dark-skinned, black male (or female) who was wearing a brown jacket and a red hooded sweatshirt underneath with the word **“Eagle”** written in white letters.

This investigation is ongoing.
