Police in Paterson is searching for the suspects who conducted a violent armed robbery where the victim was assaulted with a gun overnight.
The incident was reported in the 100 block of Wayne Avenue shortly before 11:30 p.m. where police were called to the scene to investigate reports of an armed robbery.
Arriving police officers located the injured victim who reported to them that a male suspect approached armed with a gun and demanded personal possessions.
While attempting to comply, the suspect began to physically attack, physically striking the victim with the gun.
EMS transported the patient to St. Joseph's Medical Center suffering non-life threatening injuries.
There have been no arrests immediately reported.
