A 59-year-old Jersey City man was arrested Wednesday after authorities had discovered he owed more than $300,000 in unpaid tolls and fees.
According to Port Authority spokesman Joe Pentangelo, Jose Ramirez had 3,250 toll violations on his commercial and personal
E-ZPass accounts.
Ramirez, owner of Mambo Transportation in Jersey City, had an outstanding warrant for owing $308,600 in E-ZPass tolls and fees.
He was charged with theft of services and theft by unlawful taking.
