Passaic County authorities are investigating a shooting that left a man dead in a parking lot in Paterson early this morning.
The shooting happened in the 400 block of Broadway shortly before 2:30 a.m. sending police to the scene where they found a severely injured man suffering a gunshot wound to the back at that location.
EMS rushed the victim St. Joseph's Hospital where he died a short time later according to authorities.
The man is reported to be in his 30's and possibly the victim of a robbery reports said.
Police are investigating the motive for the shooting.
There were no suspects apprehended.
