A fast moving three-alarm fire has firefighters on Walnut Street at this time.
Firefighters were called to the 500 block of Walnut Street for a report of a house fire at 6:19 p.m. inside a duplex.
Upon arrival, crews encounter heavy flames and smoke that could be seen a block away.
Most of the heavy fire has been extinguished.
There have been no immediate reports of serious injuries.
UPDATE (7:51 p.m.): According to fire officials, two firefighters suffered minor injuries and as many as seven animals were rescued.
The fire was placed under control at 7:16 p.m.
Crews from Linden and Roselle responded to the scene to assist with the fire.
