A two-alarm fire that ignited in a house in Plainfield is under investigation.
Heavy fire ripped through the two-story house located in the 800 block of Webster Place sending firefighters to the scene at around 10 p.m.
Firefighters forced entry into the house after flames began to engulf the structure, spreading throughout.
Crews were able to bring the fire under control in about an hour.
A search of the house had no trapped or injured occupants.
Less than a half dozen were displaced.
