Irvington Man Arrested for Allegedly Robbing Several Pennsylvania Banks

Police took an Irvington man into custody and charged him with several armed robberies in Pennsylvainia.

According to authorities, on February, 14, the United States Marshals Service Middle Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force contacted the Fugitive Unit requesting assistance in locating Anthony Lawson, 31, of Irvington, N.J., who was wanted for a string of suspected bank robberies in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Most recently, he was charged with committing a bank robbery in Scranton, P.A. on January, 30 authorities said.

An investigation by the New Jersey State Police Fugitive Unit, Crime Suppression North Unit, and United States Marshals Service NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force led investigators to locate and arrest Lawson at a residence in Irvington, N.J.

He was lodged in the Union County Jail as a fugitive from justice.
