Police are on the search for a man who they say stole $2,000 Sunday night and injured the victim and three family members after they came to his defense.
Police responded to a Hopkins Avenue home sometime after 10 p.m. for a report of a robbery.
Upon arrival, the 42-year-old victim told police that he was walking into his home when he was called out by the suspect who used his nickname. When the victim stopped, he was punched in the face multiple times according to reports.
The victim's family members - a 43-year-old woman, a 40-year-old man, and a 68-year-old man - witnessed the attack and came out to break up the robbery but were all reportedly injured.
The suspect ultimately made off with $2,000 from victims.
The incident remains under investigation.
No arrests have been made in connection with the robbery.
