A vehicle that lost control and fell into the Goffle Brook Park Pond in Hawthorne had several bystanders assist a woman out of the cold water a short time ago.
Emergency responders rushed to the Goffle Road side of the pond at around 9:30 a.m. where they arrived to find a partially submerged vehicle in the water according to preliminary reports.
A cold and wet female victim was removed from the vehicle by bystanders who reportedly jumped into the water .
The victim was taken by EMS to an area hospital where she is being treated for hypothermia but is expected to be ok.
Police closed a portion of Goffle Road due to icing.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
