Authorities in Newark is reporting the arrest of Pedro Lebron, 46, of Newark, for an auto theft and two burglaries.
According to Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose, at approximately 2 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2016, a black 2004 Honda Pilot, was reported stolen from the 300-block of Central Avenue.
Authorities said, on December 22, 2016, a female victim reported that her apartment, in the 200-block of Mt. Prospect Avenue, had been burglarized and that various items were missing.
A third victim said that her residence in the 100-block of North 10th Street was burglarized on Friday, January 27, 2017. Multiple items were stolen.
Investigating detectives determined that Lebron was a suspect in the vehicle theft.
Newark Police officers Pedro Rivera and David Chaparro arrested Lebron today for an open bench warrant.
As part of their continuing investigation Detectives, Alfredo Costeira and Gary Treamont determined that Lebron committed all three crimes.
Lebron is additionally charged with Theft and two counts of Burglary.
These charges are merely accusations. The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
