A suspect wanted for firing a weapon at a man causing injuries in Newark has been arrested.
According to Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose The Fugitive Apprehension Team arrested **Thomas Davis, 35, of Newark,** today for a shooting that occurred on Tuesday, January 10, 2017.
Director Ambrose said, at approximately 10:08 p.m., police responded to the area of Roseville and 7th avenues on a call of a shooting.
A 44-year old male victim had been shot by a male suspect. The victim was transported to University Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
As a result of their investigation, detectives determined that Thomas Davis is a suspect in this aggravated assault.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Davis and he was taken into custody today without incident.
He is charged with Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose and Criminal Attempt.
