Union County Police last week arrested two men after a motor vehicle stop that yielded 23 packages of heroin, a loaded 40 caliber handgun that was unlawfully possessed containing illegal hollow point bullets, and marijuana.
Union County Police Detectives Dino Capra and Joseph Ferraioii conducted a stop for a motor vehicle violation at W. Second Street in Plainfield last Thursday, and smelled and observed marijuana in the vehicle.
After a brief investigation the detectives also located the loaded gun, heroin, and arrested the two occupants, Troy White, 31, of Piscataway and Francis Lockley, 27, of Plainfield.
White and Lockley were charged with a number of crimes, including possession of a handgun, possession of hollow point bullets and numerous drug offenses.
Both men were transported to the Union County Jail to await a bail hearing.
