One lucky ticket matched all five numbers drawn winning the $561,789 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Monday, Jan. 9 drawing. The winning numbers were: 11, 15, 29, 32 and 33 and the XTRA number was: 03. The lucky retailer that sold the winning ticket is Quick Chek #96, 1 Wilson Ave., Englishtown in Monmouth County.
Executive Director Carole Hedinger said, “We are thrilled that the winning jackpot ticket was sold at Quick Chek #96.
The retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for selling the winning ticket. Overnight, they have become one more ‘lucky location’ for the very fortunate lottery winner.”
Executive Director Carole Hedinger announced that there were 588,493 tickets purchased for the drawing. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1.00 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn.
For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 97 ticketholders won $505 each and 18 others won $1,515 each with the addition of XTRA. Moreover, for correctly matching three of the five numbers drawn, 3,511 ticketholders won $15 and 566 others won $45 each with the addition of XTRA.
Lastly, 7,181 ticketholders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase.
