Police in Newark are on the search for armed robbery suspects that held up a gas station in the city's West Ward early this morning.
An armed robbery at gunpoint at the Citgo Gas Station had police in the 700 block of Sanford Avenue shortly before 5:30 a.m. where employees told arriving units that two black male suspects robbed the establishment shortly before they arrived.
The suspects were wearing all black when they fled the scene towards Mount Vernon.
There were no physical injuries reported.
The gas station has been held up about a half dozen times in the past.
Police are investigating.
