A 61-year-old Garden State Pistol Range employee is expected to make a full recovery after accidentally shooting himself Monday afternoon.
Officers responded to the Garden State Pistol Range located on Swarthmore Avenue shortly before 4:30 p.m. for a report of a shooting victim.
Upon arrival, police were informed that the employee - a 61-year-old Neptune man - accidentally shot himself in the hand while retrieving a gun from a storage cabinet.
The victim was transported to Brick Hospital where he is expected to make a full recovery.
The incident remains under investigation, according to police.
