A 25-year-old woman stabbed earlier this month at an East Rutherford apartment building, succumbed to her injuries, authorities confirmed today.
According to the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office spokesperson, on Dec. 17, 25-year-old Monet Thomas, was visiting a friend when she was attacked by 24-year-old Francis Tattoli, who lives on the first-floor of the building.
Upon police arrival, Tattoli was no longer at the scene but was taken into custody a short distance away.
Tattoli was initially charged with attempted murder and is being held on $2 million cash-only bail for the attempted murder charge. However, charged are expected to be upgraded to murder this afternoon.
