An early morning crash in East Brunswick left one person dead and another victim seriously injured.
The crash happened shortly before 4:45 a.m. in 100 block of Ryder Lane where emergency responders were called to the scene for reports of a crash with injuries reported.
Arriving first responders found two badly damaged vehicles with trapped occupants inside according to reports.
Two victims were quickly extricated from the vehicles with one of the victims rushed to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital with CPR being administered.
The other victim was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center suffering critical injuries reports said.
One of the victims was pronounced dead a short time after the crash.
A preliminary investigation had the two vehicles in a head-on crash that caused the victims to become trapped.
Police are actively investigating.
The identification of the victims have not been released.
