One person was transported to the hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries after a stolen vehicle crashed into their vehicle in the city's South Ward overnight.
According to initial reports, the vehicle that was driven recklessly through several neighborhoods in Newark's South Ward came to a crashing halt in the area of Aldine Street and Forest Place shortly before 11 p.m. when the driver of the Lincoln Navigator (with a reported NJ license plate number "X10-GJU" reported stolen out of Elizabeth) plowed into a white vehicle causing the driver to become trapped.
The occupants of the stolen vehicle reportedly ran from the scene and are at-large reports said.
Police are are searching for the suspects.
