An alleged threat against a borough building had police evacuating the premises earlier today.
Madison Police received a call regarding a threat that was made at a Kings Road location at approximately 10:09 this morning.
The information received was that there was a possible threat at The Hartley Dodge Memorial Building, located at 50 Kings Road, which houses our municipal offices and court.
Madison officers immediately arrived on scene and evacuated the entire building and established a one-block perimeter outside of the location.
A search was conducted and it was deemed that all occupants were safe and they allowed back into the building.
Madison Police Chief Darren Dachisen stated, “The building was evacuated out of an abundance of caution for our employees and citizens."
The occupants were allowed back into the building at approximately 11:10 am.
