A fatal shooting that took place in Plainfield Thursday morning is under investigation, acting Union County Prosecutor Grace H. Park announced Friday.
The deceased victim has been identified as 36-year-old Ronnell Harrison of Plainfield.
Shortly before 5:45 a.m. Thursday, Plainfield Police Division patrol units responded to the 700 block of West 4th Street in the city’s West End to find Harrison in a driveway. He was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene a short while later.
This incident is now under joint investigation by the Union County Homicide Task Force, Plainfield Police Division, Union County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit, and Union County Police Department Ballistics Unit.
