Authorities have announced the arrest of a 36-year-old man who is accused of murdering his mother and grandmother inside their Jersey City apartment last night.
According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, at approximately 8:25 p.m., police responded to 305 Randolph Avenue after a report of a woman screaming for help was received.
Upon arrival, officers gained entry into the apartment through the fire escape after no one came to the door.
Once inside, police found Rebecca Hodges, 56, and Dorothy Bradshaw, 76, who were subsequently transported to Jersey City Medical Center where they were pronounced dead at approximately 9:10 a.m.
According to police, a short time later, Kevin Hodges, 36, was arrested and charged with two counts of murder and multiple weapons offenses.
The cause of death of either women have not been determined yet.
