Police are investigating an incident where a child was struck by a vehicle late last night in Orange.
Emergency responders were called to the area of Heyward Avenue and Scotland Road sometime after 9:30 p.m. after receiving calls for a child pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle.
Arriving medical crews located the child -who is around the age of 9-years-old- suffering a head injury at that location.
The child was transported to University Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
The driver of the vehicle did not stay at the scene according to witnesses.
Orange Police are investigating.
