One of two lucky tickets that matched all five numbers drawn winning the $168,756 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot was sold in Newark.
The winning numbers were: 03, 12, 19, 21 and 37 and the XTRA number was: 03. The lucky retailers that sold those winning tickets are:
* Essex County: Family Liquors, 1112 Broad St., Newark,
* Hudson County: K & S Delicatessen LLC, 299 Danforth Ave., Jersey City.
Executive Director Carole Hedinger said, “We are thrilled that the winning jackpot tickets were sold at Family Liquors and K & S Delicatessen LLC. The retailers will each receive a bonus check for $2,000 for selling the winning tickets. Overnight, they have become two more ‘lucky locations’ for the very fortunate lottery winners.”
Executive Director Carole Hedinger announced that there were 336,347 tickets purchased for the drawing. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1.00 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn. For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 64 ticketholders won $454 each and 9 others won $1,362 each with the addition of XTRA.
Moreover, for correctly matching three of the five numbers drawn, 2,352 ticketholders won $13.00 and 369 others won $39 each with the addition of XTRA.
Lastly, 4,327 ticketholders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase.
