A late night armed robbery of a woman has Newark Police investigating.
The incident happened in the area on Ridge Street and Park Avenue shortly before 10:30 p.m. according to reports.
Police were called to the scene after receiving reports of an armed robbery with an injured person.
Units arrived to find the woman, who is reported to be in her 30's, suffering a non-life threatening injury after being attacked by a male suspect who approached and demanded personal possessions.
It was not immediately clear what was taken from the woman before the suspects ran away from the scene reports said.
The investigation is active and on going.
