UPDATE: Newark Store Robbery Suspect Identified as Irvington Man

Police took a man in custody and charged him with robbing a store in newark in late October.

According to authorities, **Jameel A. Al-Mansur, 57, of Irvington** for a store robbery that occurred on Thursday, October 27, 2016.

Police said at around 6:44 p.m., officers responded to Fallas Discount Store, located at 131 West Market Street where the store had been robbed at gunpoint by three suspects who stole cash and merchandise then fled onto West Market Street.

As part of their investigation, detectives determined that **Jameel A. Al-Mansur** is a suspect in this robbery.

Officers located Al-Mansur yesterday in the area of Market and Broad Street where he was arrested without incident.

Al-Mansur is charged with Robbery, Conspiracy, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Certain Persons Prohibited from Weapons Possession.

These charges are merely accusations.

The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

A second suspect has been identified by Major Crimes detectives, while the third suspect in this incident remains at large.
