Authorities in Newark and officials from NJ Transit are investigating an afternoon crash that involved a NJ Transit bus in the city's downtown.
The crash happened near the intersection of Washington Street and Market Street shortly before 3 p.m. when a car and bus collided at that location.
About a half dozen people suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital according to reports.
A preliminary investigation on the scene appears that the car crashed into the rear of the bus.
The official cause of the crash is under investigation.
