Authorities today announced the arrest of one of New Jersey's most wanted man accused of beating a man to death in Plainfield.
According to authorities, 30-year-old Welder Dario Morente Dubon, originally of Guatemalan decent, while employees at a Plainfield scrap yard, located on the 1600 block of South Second Street, allegedly beat 23-year-old Joseph Tremarco, of Millington, to death with a metal object on March 29, 2007.
The attack reportedly occurred after an argument turned physical between the men.
After Tremarco was reported missing, police investigating his case discovered his body the next day inside a pickup truck on a side street near the scrap yard.
Dubon was susequently charged with first-degree murder and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
In September 2009, the case was televised in "America's Most Wanted," and in October 2011, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Dubon, charging him with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
Dubon is expected to be extradited to New Jersey during the coming months to face the charges against him.
Convictions in first-degree murder charges are commonly punishable by 30 years to life in state prison.
