Police are investigating a report of an attempted robbery at w local Garfield business that left the alleged suspect shot Thursday.
According to police, officers responded to the tobacco shop, located at the corner of Monroe Street, for a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, police found the alleged suspect suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg during the botched robbery.
At this time, it's not immediately clear who fired the shot, police added.
An investigation is under way.
