Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson reported a homicide in the city early Saturday morning.
Camden County Police responded to the 1200 block of Kaighn Avenue in Camden in reference to a ShotSpotter activation for multiple gunshots at approximately 12:39 a.m. on Saturday.
Officers arrived and located the victim, Lloyd Shambry Jr., 34, of Pennsauken, suffering from gunshot wounds lying on the sidewalk. He was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at approximately 12:47a.m.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
No arrests have been made at this time.
