Police have identified the 72-year-old Bayonne man killed after being struck by a vehicle Thursday.
According to police, Mikulas "Nick" Vira, was attempting Avenue E, when he was struck at 21st Street at approximately 6:55 p.m. by a gray Saturn driven by 90-year-old Edward Timoldi.
Vira was transported to Jersey City Medical Center in critical condition after suffering head trauma and a broken pelvis. He was pronounced dead Thursday shortly after at 10:30 p.m.
The incident remains under investigation
