An armed carjacking that was reported in a neighborhood in Newark is under investigation.
Police were called to the area of South 11th street and 13th Avenue at around 11:33 p.m. for an armed carjacking report.
Arriving units located the victim, who told them that two black male suspects, took a black 2016 BMW with tinted windows at gunpoint shortly before they arrived .
The men sped away from the scene on 13th Avenue according to reports.
There were no injuries immediately reported.
