A two alarm fire tore through two buildings early this morning leaving multiple residents displaced.
According to initial reports from the scene, the fire started at around 3:30 a.m. in a vacant structure on 12th Avenue, and extended to a home next door shortly before firefighters arrived to the scene.
The intense heat from the flames that engulfed the vacant building had siding melting off of several other homes across the street.
Firefighters safely evacuated residents from homes near the burning homes.
Crews used empty lots, that surrounded the two buildings as easy access points, which allowed them to bring the fire under control in about two hours.
There were no initial reports of injuries or what cause the fire.
